     The Property is situated in the department of the Lot in the Midi- Pyrenees. The Medieval village of Port de Gagnac sits along the River Cere a tributary of the Dordogne. The village has two fabulous restaurants just 200m down the road.  Walking home after sampling the delectable cuisine and tantalising wines is so easy. The area of Gagnac is popular for walkers, cyclists and sight seers due to its rolling hills through the orchards and vine yards of Glanes.

   Five minutes walk over the bridge into Gagnac you can find a small village shop where you can buy fresh bread and croissants. Biars is only 3 kilometres away with its busy fresh produce markets, shops and cafes. Six kilometres takes you to the Beautiful  unspoilt medieval village of Beaulieu-Sur-Dordogne; one of the oldest inhabited areas of the Dordogne with streets of 14th and 15th century houses with hills scattered with stone houses. The Dordogne provides great Canoeing, fishing, cycling and family days out. Beaulieu also provides a swimming pool and tennis facilities.
Sightseeing in the area also includes Bretenoux a historic town with Castelnau Bretenoux an ancient fortress castle seen for miles around. Saint Cere a busy town where many classical music performances take place during the summer in Castles and Abbeys near by. Carenac, Loubressac, Autoire and Chateau de Montal a remarkable Renaissance near Saint Cere with museums of tapestries and paintings.
