Tried the local Glanes wine. Just to our taste and very good value from the Cave just through Gagnac. Maison d’Alexandra ticked all our boxes and we have had a very comfortable holiday.

We have had a wonderful holiday. Thank you. The house was perfect for a large family and baby walker! Our first holiday in France has been like stepping back in time. Every village has its own special charm, take a wrong turn and you find beautiful hamlets of houses and barns. THE FISHING RIGHT OUTSIDE THE HOUSE WAS GREAT- FRESH TROUT WAS ON THE MENU!

We arrived at the house in the dark and thought the area was lovely. The next morning when we looked out of the window at the view WOW!, THE LOCATION AND THE HOUSE! We had an excellent week and will visit again.

CHRISTMAS AT MAISON D’ALEXANDRA 2009
Thank you, for making our Christmas so memorable – real log fires in the evening! The Christmas decorations, real tree and crackers made us feel so welcome and festive. All the facilities were extremely useful for six adults. A lovely time was had by all, and we go our separate ways refreshed and ready for the New Year.

Enjoyed a whole week of breathtaking weather-wall to wall sunshine and perfect, cloudless skies. It's a lovely area and this house is great- definitely one of the best we've stayed in. Many thanks for a warm welcome to a home that has been thoughtfully furnished and equipped to provide a real home from home. We can't think of anything it hasn't got. Great to stay somewhere within easy walking-distance of three eating places and a shop that sells just about everything.

We have had a lovely week at the Maison d' Alexandra, the weather was great!
All the rooms in the gite are big & airy and everything we needed was provided. The balcony was well used for both coffee and croissants and a glass of local wine in the evening. The river was heavenly. This area of France is beautiful with all the pretty hill top villages and farmland. Using the maps from the Gite we went on several walks, we even walked to Beaulieu for lunch. We had a lovely lunch in the village of Gagnac. We had an enjoyable time. Thank you for your hospitality

A beautiful spot overlooking the River. The House is HUGE! The house is wonderful and very tastefully done. The meal at the Auberge was delicious as was the other little restaurant just over the bridge. We hope to return in the Spring or Autumn!!!!!! Thanks for all your hard work and thoughtfulness.

An ideal location to visit the many “The most beautiful villages of France” in the Lot and Dordogne. We recommend touring the surrounding area to experience the laid back culture. A Spacious and very comfortable home which has all the amenities to really enjoy your time here. The views over the river and the Ducks give that all important peaceful feel to the overall setting. The owners are very friendly so don’t be afraid to ask advice.

Really enjoyed our stay, lots of activities to enjoy on days out. Lots of reading and watching material in the house for lazy evenings after canoeing the Dordogne. My favourite spot was in the reclining leather chair!! Miss Mac Laughlin aged 12
Fabulous two week holiday! Lovely spacious airy and very comfortable house. Extremely good value for money. Particularly good for families as it has plenty of space in all bedrooms and living areas. Terrace and Balcony a wonderful bonus to return to after days out! We hope to return to this area and would look no further than Maison d'Alexandra.
